Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 April 2026
These terms govern your use of the Olive AI platform (“the Service”), operated by CSQS Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, operating as Olive AI (“Olive”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
Olive is an AI-powered professional services platform for the construction industry. You submit requests by email and receive deliverables by email. The client portal is used solely for account management and billing.
Olive produces professional documents, analysis, and advice using artificial intelligence. All outputs should be reviewed by a qualified professional before being relied upon for any legal, financial, or safety-critical decision.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must use the email address registered on your account to submit work to Olive. This is how we identify and authenticate you.
- One account per individual or organisation. We may refuse or close duplicate accounts.
3. Payment and billing
- The Service operates on a prepaid compute-credit basis. You top up compute credits on your account via the portal using Stripe.
- Compute credits are deducted as work is completed. The cost of each job is determined by its complexity and is deducted after delivery.
- All payments are in GBP and are non-refundable, except where required by law or at our discretion.
- We may change our pricing at any time. Changes apply to future top-ups only; existing compute credits are honoured at the rate they were purchased.
- VAT, if applicable, will be added at the prevailing rate.
- You may save a payment method and enable auto top-up. When enabled, you authorise us to charge that payment method, via Stripe, for the reload amount you have configured whenever your balance falls below your configured trigger threshold — up to your configured monthly cap. You may disable auto top-up, remove the saved payment method, or change any of these limits at any time through the billing settings page.
- Auto top-up charges may occasionally require Strong Customer Authentication. Where this happens, the charge will not complete and we will notify you to authorise it manually. Your service will resume once the balance is sufficient.
- Each auto top-up appears as a separate Stripe transaction with the description “Olive auto top-up”. You will receive a Stripe receipt by email for each successful charge.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Submit content that is fraudulent, defamatory, or infringes the rights of any third party
- Attempt to access accounts or data belonging to other users
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or manipulate the Service’s internal systems
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
- Submit requests unrelated to construction or the built environment
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you breach these terms.
5. Intellectual property
- Your content: You retain all rights to the content you submit to Olive (drawings, specifications, briefs, etc.).
- Our deliverables: Work product delivered to you by Olive is licensed to you for your use. You may use, modify, and distribute it for your business purposes.
- Our platform: The Olive platform, brand, and underlying technology remain our property.
6. Data and privacy
We handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your email content and attachments will be processed by AI systems to deliver the work you request.
7. Disclaimers
As amazing as Olive is — always check the work. Humans make mistakes; so does Artificial Intelligence.
That principle governs your use of the Service, and is reflected in the specific disclaimers below:
- Olive provides professional-grade outputs, but we are not a substitute for qualified professional advice. All outputs should be reviewed and verified before use.
- Cost estimates, risk assessments, and similar outputs are indicative and based on available information. They should not be relied upon as formal valuations, certifications, or guarantees.
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not warrant that every output will be complete, current, or free from error.
- You remain responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated output before relying on it, acting on it, or passing it to any third party.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Termination
- You may close your account at any time by emailing [email protected].
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or for any reason with 30 days’ written notice.
- On termination, any remaining compute credits will be refunded at our discretion, minus the cost of any work already completed.
- We will retain your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
